Responsible for engineering activities including research, drafting, design, computations, data analysis, field inspections, preparation of plans, exhibits, specifications, reports and other project documents.
CHARACTERISTICS:
Develops and applies broad knowledge of principals and skills in a specific practice area
Independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
Collaboratively uses judgment to determine adaptations in methods for nonroutine assignments
Works on small to moderate projects or portions of larger projects
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Designs a complete project, system, component, or process
Prepares complete project documents, including plans and specifications
Performs research and investigations
Develops reports and study documents
Analyzes and interprets data, including design calculations
Formulates and solves problems
Plans and coordinates detailed aspects of the engineering work
Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments
Assists with proposals to provide professional services
Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others
Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments
Maintains quality assurance standards for projects
QUALIFICATIONS:
BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited program
Registration – Certified Engineer in Training (EIT) or 4 years’ experience at the Assistant Engineer Level
Microsoft Office Suite
AutoCAD and GIS Applications
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Experience Requirement – 4+ years of professional experience (minimum)
