Located in the Kansas City Riverfront area, Union Berkley Riverfront is a $72 million, mixed-use development project that includes 407 market rate luxury apartment units and 12,400 square feet of retail space. Building elements include a secure parking garage featuring 443 parking spaces, a swimming pool, outdoor patio with kitchen fire pits, a bike lounge, fitness facility, and community co-working spaces.
What We Did
Taliaferro & Browne (T&B) worked with Port KC in the planning, platting, and public infrastructure aspects of the project. Civil engineering services included public roadway design, mass grading, the design of extensive public water main, storm sewer and sanitary sewer main, and stormwater management design for the Union project as well as for future development in the Berkley Park area. Services also included utility coordination, finished grading design, and assistance in gaining permit approval from various regulating authorities.

Union Berkley Luxury Apartments received a 2019 Capstone Award by the Kansas City Business Journal and was a finalist for the 2019 Cornerstone Awards from the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City.
