UMKC-Beacon Hill Student Housing

Located in the Beacon Hill neighborhood, the University of Missouri Kansas City (UMKC) Student Housing project is a 120-unit, four-story apartment building that houses up to 245 students, staff and faculty members for UMKC’s Medical and Dental Schools on Hospital Hill. The project also includes a dedicated parking garage containing approximately 190 parking spaces.

What we did

Taliaferro & Browne (T&B) provided civil engineering services including grading, storm sewers, sanitary sewer service connections, and water service connections. T&B also provided landscape architecture services including the outdoor courtyards.

As a part of an adjacent project for the City of Kansas City, Missouri, T&B provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for the reconstruction of Troost Avenue and a pedestrian connection from the student housing building to the Hospital Hill Campus.
