JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for engineering activities including project management, design direction, preparation of all project deliverables, quality control review, client communication.

CHARACTERISTICS:  

  • Independently applies a thorough knowledge of current principles and practices.
  • Applies knowledge and expertise to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
  • Keeps informed of new methods and developments affecting the organization.
  • Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
  • Serves as a technical specialist in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in an assigned area.
  • Keeps informed of new developments and requirements affecting the organization for the purpose of recommending changes in programs or applications.
  • Assists Project Manager and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
  • Interprets, organizes, executes, and coordinates assignments.
  • Assigns tasks to engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Plans, schedules, or coordinates the preparation of project documents.
  • Prepares and reviews and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Prepares proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
  • Reviews operational procedures to ensure compliance with applicable policies and performance measures.
  • Routinely interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
  • Leads project meetings and makes presentations.
  • Represents the organization and maintains liaison with individuals and related organizations.

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Registration – Registered Professional Engineer (PE), or 4 years’ experience at the Staff Engineer Level.
  • Preferred Member of professional or technical society.
  • Microsoft Office Suite.
  • AutoCAD and GIS Applications.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, communication and managerial skills.
  • Experience Requirement – 8+ years of professional experience.
