The UMKC School of Computing and Engineering’s Education and Research Center (SCEERC) is an approximately 44,000 gross square foot building expansion that connects to the existing Robert H. Flarsheim Science and Technology Hall which was the previous home of UMKC’s School of Computing and Engineering.
The research center provides a combination of teaching and research laboratories, technology rich studios, maker space and collaborative spaces supporting all five of the University’s accredited engineering and computer science programs. The larger, interactive, and interdisciplinary spaces provide faculty members the ability for innovative teaching opportunities and optimize the overall learning experience for students through hands-on training as well as provide space for the entrepreneurial community.
