Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts

The Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts is a 285,000 square foot facility that features a 1600-seat concert hall and an 1800-seat proscenium theatre. Additional amenities included restaurants, lobbies, and an adjacent, underground parking garage for 1000 cars.

What We Did

As the civil engineer of record, Taliaferro & Browne provided preliminary and final site grading, design of entrance drives and patron drop-off areas, a storm water study, drainage and storm water detention design, erosion control and land disturbance plans, and associated LEED compliance. T&B also provided civil engineering services for the reconstruction of the adjacent Wyandotte Street.
