East Bottoms Pump Station

The East Bottoms Pump Station project involved evaluating the existing facilities and structures; recommending repairs or replacement as necessary; determining the requirements to meet projected water demands; and developing a concept for expansion to meet the 2020 projected demand of 120 MGD.

What We Did

In Phase I, T&B provided the civil and structural engineering services to complete the study (using the 1997 WSD Water Facilities Master Plan), which was submitted to and met the requirements of Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

In Phase II of the project, T&B provided final design documents for selected civil & structural improvements including gate and fence replacement, new roof access openings and hatches, exterior and interior roof access ladders, and window lintel replacement and framing.

In Phase III, T&B provided civil and structural engineering, surveying, and construction administration services for major improvements at the pump station. Structural design services included a new 8,000 square feet underground valve chamber adjacent to the existing building, modifications to the existing concrete reservoir, gate house improvements, and a new meter chamber. T&B’s civil design team was responsible for site improvements and access road rehabilitations.
