Columbus Park Lofts is the first phase of residential housing improvements in a larger 12 square block area of Kansas City just Northeast of Downtown. This project consisted of 108 new apartment units in five buildings providing 54 market rate units and 54 tax-credit housing units in the first phase of that redevelopment. Tax credits from MHDC helped fund this project.
Taliaferro & Browne Real Estate – Columbus Park was an equity development partner in this project and was involved in the preliminary planning, development decisions, financing, financial guarantees, LIHTC application and all facets of the development process.
What We Did
Taliaferro & Browne Inc. (T&B) provided civil engineering design, utility coordination, landscape architecture, site planning, topographic survey, platting, and rezoning services. For the first 4 ½ blocks of this development, T&B provided design of public improvements including storm sewer, sanitary sewer, water main extensions, public streets and streetscape. T&B also provided special inspection services for this project.
