JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for all activities within the Landscape Architecture Department including research and design development, written correspondence, reports, presentation materials, final construction documentation and field work.

  • Works on a major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Apply standard practices and techniques
  • Conduct research, planning and design tasks as assigned by supervisor or project manager
  • Prepare drawings, renderings and exhibits using hand sketches and computer rendering techniques
  • Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil3D
  • Assist in preparing with technical specifications
  • Assist with public engagement activities including project presentations and meeting facilitation
  • Conduct construction site observation visits, develop punch lists and photograph records
  • Assist with preparation of final reports
  • Assist in business development and seek opportunities with Senior Landscape Architect / Project Manager
  • Interact with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others
  • Maintain licensure by seeking out educational and professional opportunities for licensure credits
  • Attend project meetings and presents specific aspects of landscape architecture assignments


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from an accredited program
  • Multi-discipline office experience a plus
  • Bring creative energy and enthusiasm
  • Strong work ethic with exceptional self-motivation
  • Registered Landscape Architect
  • Proficiency in site layout, grading, planting design and construction details
  • Excellent design skills familiar using hand sketching, scanning, Photoshop and AutoCAD
  • Microsoft Office products
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Strong graphics and rendering skills to develop presentation boards and marketing graphics
  • Strong Civil3D production and LandFX
  • Experience with visualizing using Civil3D a plus
  • AutoCAD, LandFX, Sketch-Up and Vray Rendering or other rendering software a plus
  • MicroStation experience a bonus
  • Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
  • The Landscape Architect department wants to move towards Lumion 3D imaging
  • Strong knowledge of local and native plant communities
  • Experiences in environmental design, green infrastructure, native plant communities, park and recreation design, trail design, urban planning design and streetscape design
  • 5-10+ years in a professional Landscape Architecture office experience, Engineers office and project management
