Meg Babani Brings Project Management Expertise In-House
Meg Babani, brings over 15 years of project management experience to Taliaferro & Browne projects. Her expertise includes campus/site planning, cultural/historic sites, parks and recreation, urban/streetscape, signage, and public accessibility projects. She is currently working on a variety of planning projects throughout the Kansas City area.
Prior to joining Taliaferro & Browne, Meg was with Landplan Engineering in Lawrence, Kansas. At Landplan, she was instrumental in diverse master planning projects, including award-winning projects such as the Downtown Shawnee Master Plan Update and Streetscape and the Downtown Parsons, Kansas Revitalization.
Deiadre Smith and Rhett Caviel Join Cadre of Civil Engineers
Deiadre Smith received her BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Rolla in 2006 and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and National Society of Black Engineers. Her recent projects involve erosion control and grading as well as storm sewer and potable water line design.
Rhett Caviel recently received his MS in Civil Engineering from University of Missouri-Columbia. Rhett's expertise includes structures, 3D "virtual" design, analysis of historic structures, and physical modeling. Rhett isactive in the National Society of Black Engineers. He is currently working on structural design elements for an office building retrofit project.
Both Ms. Smith and Mr. Caviel completed internships with the firm prior to joining Taliaferro & Browne's professional staff.
Melissa Langley Promoted to Marketing Coordinator
As the firm's Marketing Coordinator, Melissa Langley specializes in marketing, sales and proposal planning and implementation. Melissa is a 2008 graduate of Park University with a BA in Marketing and a member of the Society for Marketing Professional Services. Previously, Melissa served as the Project Coordinator for both the Sprint Center Project from 2004 to 2008 and the KCI Terminal Improvement Project from 2001 to 2004.
