North Boardwalk Square Transit Center

Taliaferro & Browne provided the civil, structural, and transportation engineering, surveying, and landscape architecture for the project, including project management, master planning, design, coordination, and construction inspection and administration. The North Boardwalk Square Transit project involved designing shelter buildings as well as site geometry, grading, utilities, and approximately 4,700 square yards of concrete pavement. This transfer transit center is a first of its kind in the Kansas City metropolitan area due to its unique clock tower, provisions for future Intelligent Transportation Systems, adaptabilities, and well planned accessibility to the public and neighboring areas.
